Erling Haaland has made history in the Premier League by setting a new single-season goal
record during Manchester City's match against West Ham
The 22-year-old striker scored his 35th goal of the season
surpassing the previous record set by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer in the 90s
Haaland's goal came from a chip over the West Ham goalkeeper
and it was sandwiched between Nathan Ake's header and a Phil Foden volley that wrapped up the scoring late in the game
West Ham managed to hold off Man City's attacks in the first half
However, the home team remained patient and eventually broke through shortly after the break
With five matches to play and a game in hand
City now sit one point above Arsenal at the top of the table.
