Hilary Swank, the 48-year-old actress, shared some joyful news on Easter Sunday with her 1.4 million followers on Instagram. She has given birth to twins – a boy and a girl. The new mom posted an endearing image of her holding the newborns in her arms while admiring a sunset.
Hilary, who won two Academy Awards, one for Best Actress in 2005 for her role in the movie Million Dollar Baby, wore a plush white bathrobe while cradling her newborns. She captioned the heartwarming photo, “It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter! Posting from pure Heaven.”
The twins are the first children for Hilary and her husband Philip Schneider, a social venture entrepreneur. Hilary received an outpouring of love and support from her Instagram followers and celebrity friends.
Sharon Stone wrote, “God bless honey. This is the most extraordinary journey ever. So happy for you all.” Jesse Tyler Ferguson added, “Congrats!!!!” while Sophia Bush shared the news with a number of white heart emojis, writing, “They’re HERE!”
In March, Hilary shared an ultrasound of her “Million Dollar Baby” on her Instagram, with the caption, “Baby A flexing for the camera at their ultrasound. #TheRealMillionDollarBaby #Prizefighter.”
Hilary and Philip Schneider tied the knot in 2018 after meeting on a blind date in November 2016. Hilary had previously been engaged to former tennis pro Ruben Torres but ended their three-month engagement in 2016.
In a recent interview with Extra, the actress explained why she waited so long to have children. She said, “I wasn’t going to have a baby because society said I had to.” She continued, “I was going to have a baby because it was the right time for me and my husband and that’s why we waited until now.”
