What to Expect from the New Marvel Movies 2023

Since the launch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Iron Man in 2008, we have been treated to an endless number of superhero films and television shows, some of which are good and others not so much. Despite their quality, they continue to provide us with an endless stream of content, making it difficult to maintain their standards. She-Hulk is a prime example of this decline.

However, many of these projects are not essential. Do we really need so many Ant-Man films? Despite this, we cannot fault them as we will still watch them anyway. In 2023, there are five new Marvel films planned, including another Ant-Man movie.

The Marvel films scheduled for release in 2023 are Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 15), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (June 2), The Marvels (July 28), and Kraven The Hunter (October 6). Most of them are sequels, with Ant-Man being one that isn’t really needed. Guardians of the Galaxy will be returning, and Spider-Verse is something to look forward to. The Marvels don’t seem exciting, but Kraven the Hunter is.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania may not be the best superhero film, but Paul Rudd is excellent as Scott Lang. However, the plot, villains, and superpowers are not very enjoyable, and the film is filled with bad jokes, an unimpressive story, and terrible CGI. The only saving grace of the movie is Jonathan Majors’ performance as Kang the Conqueror.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promises to be a fun-filled adventure in space, and it will explore Rocket Raccoon’s backstory and Peter Quill’s relationship with an amnesiac Gamora. The entire cast will return, with the addition of Will Poulter as Adam Warlock and Chukwudi Iwuji as the High Evolutionary.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is one of the most anticipated films, with Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy traveling through various alternate realities. The film features Oscar Issac as Spider-Man 2099, and fans are excited about the return of Peter B. Parker.

The Marvels is a sequel to the Captain Marvel film and Ms. Marvel Disney+ series and features a character from WandaVision. Unfortunately, this film does not look promising, as the first Captain Marvel film and Ms. Marvel series were mediocre.

Kraven the Hunter is a standalone film, and fans are excited about it. In conclusion, the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to provide audiences with an array of superhero content, some of which are great, and others not so much.
