Sheezan seeks the return of his passport

Actor Sheezan Khan, who was accused of aiding in the suicide of co-actor Tunisha Sharma, has been in the news recently. The actor was imprisoned on December 25, 2022, but he has been released on bail in March. Khan has now filed an application with the Mumbai court requesting the return of his passport, which had been seized by the police. The court will hear his plea on Tuesday. According to news agency ANI, the Vasai court will hear the application tomorrow, as Sheezan seeks the return of his passport that was taken from him by the authorities.

Sheezan Khan’s bail was ordered with a surety bond of ₹1 Lakh by the Vasai Court, and the actor was instructed to surrender his passport as well. He had been under judicial custody since his arrest in December last year. Tunisha Sharma allegedly committed suicide on December 24, 2022, on the set of the TV serial Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul near Valiv in Palghar. The following day, Sheezan was arrested for abetting the suicide on a complaint filed by the late actor’s mother. A court granted him bail in March on the grounds that there was no need to keep him incarcerated since the investigation had been completed, and the chargesheet had been filed.

The incident that occurred on the set of Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul shocked the entire Indian film industry. The case has been a matter of public interest ever since. However, as new developments unfold, there are many unanswered questions regarding the case. In this article, we will provide you with a detailed analysis of the situation and discuss the latest updates.

The Chargesheet

Earlier this year, the Waliv Police filed a 524-page chargesheet in the Vasai court, accusing Sheezan of the 21-year-old actor’s death. The chargesheet includes statements from several witnesses, including the show’s director, producers, and fellow actors.

Sheezan’s family had previously claimed that he had been falsely implicated in the case by the late actor’s mother and that Tunisha was like ‘family’ to them. Sheezan was reportedly dating his Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul co-star Tunisha weeks before her death, and she was found dead two weeks after the duo broke up, ending their months-long relationship.

The Allegations

Tunisha’s mother, Vanita Sharma, had leveled serious allegations against Sheezan after the actor’s death, claiming that he had beaten Tunisha and forced her to adopt Islam. However, Sheezan’s sister, actor Falaq Naaz, accused Tunisha’s mother of ‘neglecting’ her daughter and said that the late actor’s depression was due to her childhood trauma. During a press meet earlier this year, Falaq stated, “Tunisha’s mother admitted to neglecting her daughter and not taking care of her. Tunisha’s depression was due to her childhood trauma.”

The Investigation

The Waliv Police had launched an investigation into the case immediately after Tunisha’s death. They have conducted forensic tests, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. The chargesheet filed by the police includes statements from several witnesses and forensic reports. However, Sheezan’s family has claimed that the investigation was biased and that the police had ignored vital evidence that could have proved Sheezan’s innocence.
