Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again been threatened by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting him to file a complaint with the Bandra police. This is not the first time that the gangster has targeted the actor, who has been receiving threats from the notorious criminal for a while now.
Allegedly the mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Lawrence Bishnoi is currently imprisoned in Delhi. The threat mail, sent to the actor’s office e-mail address on Saturday afternoon, was from Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, who is said to be a close associate of Bishnoi. The e-mail requested a meeting with the actor.
The Mumbai police have begun investigating the matter, with the threat mail being taken seriously given the actor’s history with the gangster. This isn’t the first time that Salman Khan has been threatened by Bishnoi, who had previously accused the actor of hunting a blackbuck and hurting the sentiments of the Bishnois, a sect that reveres animals.
To protect the actor from such threats, the Maharashtra government had granted Salman Khan Y+ grade of security cover in 2020, an upgrade of two levels. Salman Khan also employs private security and is always accompanied by his trusted guard, Gurmeet Singh alias Shera.
Despite having been acquitted of the blackbuck poaching case, Salman Khan continues to face threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. With the recent complaint filed, the Mumbai police are working to ensure the safety of the actor, who has always been accompanied by his private security and trusted guard.
